Welcome
Every year, over $6.25 billion worth of medical equipment is discarded in the US. The mission of EWH-GT is to bring awareness and sustainable solutions to the global inequities in health care in the developing world. EWH organizes bi-weekly repair sessions at the MedShare International warehouse in Atlanta. During the repair sessions, our members volunteer their time and engineering skills to test, calibrate and repair medical equipment donated by Atlanta hospitals. The restored medical equipment is then shipped to developing world hospitals.

Unfortunately EWH was unable to participate at Team Buzz due to the lack of personnel at the facility. However, we will be having a repair session this Saturday October 4th. We will be meeting at the normal spot in the student center outside the computer lab at 9. If anyone needs directions please look at the schedule page. I encourage everyone to come. See you there!
The first repair session went very well. We had around 30 volunteers show up and got a lot of work done. We also had a big showing for our first general meeting. All students who are interested please fill out the application form and get it in as soon as possible. Our next repair session will be through Team Buzz on September 27th. We currently have a group reserved on the Team Buzz website but it has filled up already. We are currently working out opening more slots. Even if you are not able to officially register you are still welcome to meet in the normal fashion and come with us to MedShare. Once we figure out what is going on with Team Buzz we will let you know.
Welcome to the new Georgia Tech Engineering World health website. We are excited about the upcomming school year. We have a lot of events planned for this year. This is the first semester for the new website and there may be some bugs and formatting issues. It looks a little plain now but hopefully it will start looking better and if there are any suggestions or comments for improving the website feel free to contact us. Our first repair session will be Saturday, September 6th. Due to scheduling conflicts the first repair session will occur before our first general meeting which will be held on Tuesday, September 9th at the Whitaker building. All students from all majors are welcome.
